An Energy Sharing Mechanism Achieving the Same Flexibility as Centralized Dispatch

Deploying distributed renewable energy at the demand side is an important measure to implement a sustainable society. However, massive small solar and wind generation units are beyond control of central operator. To encourage users participate in management reduce dependence on dispatchable resources, peer-to-peer sharing scheme proposed which releases flexibility side. Every user makes decision individually considering only local constraints; microgrid operator announces prices subjective coupling constraints without knowing users' constraints. This can help protect privacy. We prove that mechanism achieve same disutility as centralized dispatch, develop effective modified best-response based algorithm for reaching market equilibrium. The concept “absorbable region” presented operating under mechanism. A linear programming polyhedral projection developed compute region. Case studies validate theoretical results show method scalable.
